Norfolk Sheriff’s Office to Host Annual Senior Fest

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff Joe Baron Foundation will host our annual senior support services seminar, known as Senior Fest. The event is free and open to citizens aged 55 and older living in Norfolk. Registration opened in July and this year we have 800 citizens registered to attend and will have more than 70 vendors on site.

Senior Fest will be held at Chartway Arena starting at 10 a.m. From 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., attendees will have the opportunity to visit vendors and learn about local resources, meet with local officials, get their flu shot, and receive health screenings. After visiting with vendors, at approximately 11:30 a.m., citizens will enjoy a complimentary lunch, live entertainment, and will hear from speakers including Sheriff Joe Baron, Mayor Dr. Kenneth Alexander, and Dr. Marissa Galicia-Castillo from Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ODU who will be speaking about Advance Care Plans.
