Corrections

Deputies in Corrections are responsible for maintaining safety and security for everyone in the City Jail.

The records office checks in and authorizes releasing inmates. Whenever deputies transport inmates, records employees are aware of the move. An inmate count is verified three times a day.

Inmates go through medical testing to make sure they’re not spreading any illnesses before they are assigned to a jail cell block. Classification counselors house the inmates based on their criminal charges, prior criminal history, and behavior.
