The Norfolk Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff positions. New employees are initially assigned to the jail. Most employees work 12-hour, rotating shifts (including days, nights, weekends and holidays) approximately 14 days per month. The Norfolk Sheriff’s Office is seeking a self-motivated person to join our team to perform food management duties within the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office for our 811 Marketplace services. Their primary functions are to plan, direct, or coordinate activities of the 811 Market Place Department that serves food and beverages to inmates housed within the Norfolk City Jail.
