This person will help develop, test, and maintain software to meet the requirements of the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office. The incumbent will assist staff with providing standards, instruction, and procedures involving the Information Technology department while providing Help Desk support for computer hardware and software issues. The incumbent should have experience in the administration of Active Directory, Office 365, and NTFS.

This person provides inmate substance use counseling services using an evidence based approach for assessment, treatment planning, counseling, service planning, and referral for service for inmates.

This person transports inmates to and from work release assignments. The van driver is responsible for scheduling allotted time for efficient transportation runs and maintaining some authority and order with the vehicle used for transportation. The nature of the work requires some element of personal risk. Van drivers also may be called upon to do administrative duties required when they are not transporting prisoners.

The Norfolk Sheriff’s Office is seeking a self-motivated person to perform food preparation and service duties for our 811 Marketplace services. They will perform a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, such as preparing hot and cold foods and delivery of food orders. This position works within a correctional environment. This is a part time position.
