Official Letters Requesting Audit of the NSO

As many are aware, Norfolk Sheriff Joe Baron officially requested a comprehensive audit of the Norfolk Sheriff's Office on Friday, February 10, 2017.

He wrote two letters. One letter was sent to the Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts, Martha Mavredes.

The other was sent to Mayor Kenny Alexander and city council members.

As you will see after reading over the material, it is customary to request an audit whenever a new administration takes over.

We will be sure to keep you updated on the details of the audit status once we receive information from the state. Right now, the audit is just in the "request" stage.
